She Didn't Give Up

Patience and perseverance was finally rewarded. "Mom, I hand fed a Chickadee!" Watching her day after day was tough. Although I encouraged her, I never thought it would happen. Well, I learned a lesson too. I am thankful that God blessed K (10) with this special moment. Never give up!

Beautiful Pictures from Illustrator Eloise Wilkin

I found this book, Birds at the thrift store. I LOVE the illustrator, Eloise Wilkin. There is such an innocence about these pictures. This is a great little nature study!

All This Bird Activity

Has caused great interest for Cream Puff, the cat

Birds in the Winter

I was so proud of the girls. They took these pictures. Not bad for a 5 and 9 year old. We were excited to see the birds at our homemade feeders.

Homemade birdhouses

Woodpecker

K (9) surprised me with her birdhouse--not sure what I'm gonna do with this one :)  She is ready to trap wild birds now!

Searching through field guides

Then a game of hide the bird!
The best thing is that none of this was
  prompted by me!
